I know, 2020 is some bullshit. In this new world, we are in, we have become inundated with pleas from our community to help save them. We feel overwhelmed because the challenge is overwhelming, and we know alone, we are not enough to fix it. The challenge to protect our community from the damages of COVID-19 is insurmountable without proper help from our government. Our government, at all levels, federal, state, and local need to implement industry-specific relief to help all of our small businesses. The current PPP lending program is fraudulent at best; we need something that will actually help to make sure we have a community worth fighting for. It is terrifying to think of an America void of community spaces like bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and music venues.
